Commission Policy

In plain language

Money enters Spondea only when a Client pays a Builder. The Builder sets a Vouch Rate, and that percentage of each settled payment goes to the Advocate who logged the first genuine contact and services the Account, for up to 24 months. Nobody is paid for bringing another contributor onto Spondea, and no contributor pays anything to be here. The worked examples on this page are the same arithmetic the Ledger runs.

The same promise on all three documents

No contributor pays anything to join, to learn a Listing, to sit the Viva, to verify who they are, or to be paid. Commission is flat and single-level: one Vouch Rate, applied once, to one settled Client payment. Nothing anyone earns depends on how many other people are on Spondea, and no payment of any kind is made for bringing another contributor onto the platform.

This paragraph is one stored sentence rendered on every page of this set. If it ever reads differently in two places, that is a defect — write to us and we will fix the document, not the wording.

Worked examples

The arithmetic, then the rows it writes.

Each example below is shown twice: once as the sum anyone can do on paper, and once as the Ledger entries that same sum produces. Both come out of one computation, so the page cannot promise a number the Ledger would not record.

One Advocate, one Account, the full term

Aisha Nabirye logged the Intro, won the Account and serviced it herself every month it ran. The Builder of Ledgerpad set a Vouch Rate of 20%. The Client paid the same subscription for 24 months.

An Advocate and a Specialist, and the cap biting

Nakato Ssali won the Account; Bwire Kagoda handled the technical service alongside her. They agreed the work split before the work started, and QA metered it at 60/40. The Client stayed 31 months — the Stream still stops at 24.

An Account that ended after four months

Aisha Nabirye won this Account too, with Deo Amanya servicing 30% of the logged work. The Client cancelled in the fifth month. The Stream stopped with the service — most Accounts look far more like this one than like the first.

The clauses

10 clauses, none of them long.

  1. 01

    The only inlet

    A commission comes into existence only against a Client payment that has already settled. No other event creates a payable balance — not signing up, not passing a Viva, not knowing someone who did.

  2. 02

    Flat, and single-level

    One settled payment carries one commission: the Vouch Rate the Builder set on that Listing. It is not stacked, tiered, or shared upward to anyone. No contributor ever earns a percentage of what another contributor earned.

  3. 03

    Nothing is paid for bringing people in

    Joining, studying, sitting the Viva and verifying your identity cost a contributor nothing, and no payment of any kind is made to anyone for bringing another contributor onto Spondea. What you earn depends on Accounts you won and work you logged, and on nothing else about who else is here.

  4. 04

    Attribution

    The Advocate who logged the earliest genuine contact with the Client is credited — the Intro, not the last click. Where two Intros are contested, a person decides, and the reasoning is written to the Ledger where both parties can read it.

  5. 05

    The 24-month Stream

    A commission is paid for each month the Account stays active, to a maximum of 24 months, and only while the contributor is still servicing it. The Stream follows the service: it stops when the service stops, and a reassigned Account moves its Stream to whoever picks up the work.

  6. 06

    Splits

    Where a Specialist services an Account alongside the Advocate, the commission is divided between them in proportion to work logged and QA’d, agreed before the work starts, and shown on both Ledgers. A Split divides one commission. It never creates a second one.

  7. 07

    Holds and reversals

    A commission is held for 7 days after the Client’s payment settles, then becomes payable. If the Client is refunded, the commission is reversed by a new Ledger entry pointing at the original. Nothing is edited; a correction is another row.

  8. 08

    Payout release is a decision a person makes

    When the hold ends, the payout is queued — and released by a named person, whose approval is stamped on the Ledger with the time. The same applies to Trainer promotion: an agent may recommend it, but a human approval is required before it takes effect.

  9. 09

    Rate changes

    A Builder may change the Vouch Rate on a Listing at any time, and the new rate applies to Accounts won after the change. An Account already won keeps the rate they were won at for its full term, so a rate change cannot reach into a Stream that is already running.

  10. 10

    What the worked examples are

    Every worked example on this page is an illustration with fixed figures chosen for clarity, using fictional people and fictional Listings. It is not a live Account and not a projection of what anyone earns. The page does not recompute against a Vouch Rate you type into it; a Builder who wants figures for their own Listing gets them from the commission preview in their own onboarding, which does.

Change log

What changed, and when it took effect.

The version and effective date at the top of this page are read from the newest entry below, so a change cannot be published without moving the date. A change applies from its date forward: a Stream already running keeps the Vouch Rate its Account was won at.
