Ask us the hard question first.
You are right to be suspicious of anything that promises people in Kampala they can earn from software built somewhere else. So here is exactly what earns money on Spondea, what does not, and how you can check both without taking our word for it.
A shilling enters Spondea only when a Client pays a Builder for software. There is no other inlet. Joining costs nothing, learning costs nothing, sitting the Viva costs nothing — and no one is ever paid for bringing another contributor in. Earnings are never gated by the size of anyone's network; a Split only ever reflects work actually done on a won Account.
Each one is checkable.
- 01IdentityA biometric check against the national registry.Nobody is paid until a real, named person stands behind the Account. The face on the selfie is matched to the face on the national ID, and the name is matched again at payout.
- 02CertificationThe Viva — an oral exam, marked by an examiner that pushes back. The Viva cannot be passed by clicking through it. Answers are free text, in the candidate’s own words, per product.
- 03AttributionThe first genuine contact wins, and it is timestamped. An Intro is logged before the sale, not claimed after it. When two Intros claim one Account, neither is paid automatically.
- 04The recordAn append-only Ledger. Nothing is ever deleted.Every figure on this page can be rebuilt by replaying the Ledger. A mistake is corrected by adding a row that reverses the original, never by editing it.
- 05The human gateA named person signs anything that changes standing or money.Spondea’s systems recommend. A person approves, with their initials and the date written to the record.
A face, a national ID, and a name that must match at payout.
Verification runs against Uganda's national registry via Smile ID — not against a photo of a document typed in by hand. It is required before the first shilling moves, and never before someone is allowed to learn: every Listing on this site can be studied today without handing over any identity document at all.
Blurred photographs and married-name mismatches are common. A failed check goes to a person, who can ask for a retake or accept a supporting document. Spondea stores the verification result and a reference to it — never a copy of the ID document itself.
The first genuine contact, not the loudest claim.
An Intro is a timestamped record of first genuine contact with a Client. It is logged before a sale closes, not claimed after it — so credit never depends on being higher on any list. Here is a real contested case: two Advocates each logged an Intro for the same Client contact within minutes of each other.
- AIIntro logged — Deo Amanya · Chalkline (earlier)
- AIIntro logged — Deo Amanya · Chalkline (41 minutes later)
- AIConflict escalated rather than decided
- R.A.Resolved in favour of INT-2231 — the earlier Intro
Nothing is ever deleted. Only added.
Every row below is a specimen, fictional entry — an example, not a real Account. Open a row and it shows where the money came from, and which entry it corrects, if any. The second Stream below was reversed because the Client refunded: the original row stays, and a new row points back at it.

A person signs anything that changes standing or money.
Spondea's systems draft the recommendation and label themselves whenever they do. But a Trainer promotion never takes effect, and a payout batch never moves, without a named human approval — shown with the approver's initials and the date, written to the record.
Check a Badge before you buy anything.
If someone contacts you claiming to be a certified Spondea Advocate, enter their Badge ID below. You will see their verification status and Badge date — never a national ID number or a copy of any document.
Terms, not aspirations.
- Charge anyone a fee to join, to learn, or to sit the Viva.
- Pay anyone for bringing another contributor onto the platform.
- Sell a starter pack, a kit, a seat, or a place in a queue.
- Pay a commission on anything except a Client paying a Builder.
- Move money without a named human approving the batch.
- Publish a figure that cannot be rebuilt from the public Ledger.
These are terms in the Commission Policy. Breaking one of them is a breach a contributor can point at. If any screen on this site ever contradicts this list, the list wins.
